ON HER HOLIDAY STYLE

I decided to style two versatile looks. Both bright, one is perfect for daytime and the other perfect for cocktails, dinner or a night out. I love the metallic slides, they are definitely a must have item this summer, especially combined with white. The eyelet broderie coordinated pieces are already one of my favorite pieces in my closet and also very appropriate for wedding season! I like to pick items that lend themselves to be used in a million different ways. The mules are basically perfect with everything and super comfy!

ON HER HOLIDAY READ

I’ll be reading I’ll Drink To That by Betty Halbreich. She has such an interesting story. I’m in love with classic American fashion ladies like her. This book gives some insight into her legendary career and I can’t wait to breathe it in.

ON HER HOLIDAY DESTINATION

If I could pick one destination it would be Palm Springs. The Parker Hotel is absolutely fabulous and I love the 70’s vibe that is happening around every corner. For a city trip I would recommend Buenos Aires, it’s the perfect mix between Paris and Barcelona. I love eating Dulce de Leche, drinking their fabulous red wine and visiting the flea markets on Sunday.

ON HER INFLIGHT ESSENTIALS

I have so many! First of all, a laptop filled with good series so I can binge watch.  I always take 8 hour cream with me from Elizabeth Arden, ear plugs, melatonin to kill the jet lag and a face mask. Yes, I’m that crazy person that actually uses long haul flights for spa treatments. The air in planes can dry out your skin pretty bad so anything moisturizing is essential.

ON HER TOP PACKING TIPS

Roll your clothing, put heavy items on the bottom of your carry on and don’t overpack because you will get annoyed during the trip. Another thing that I have found to be very important regarding packing is to look at the type of trip I’m doing. How will my days look? What type of weather is expected? I try to create sets of clothing so I don’t take anything unnecessary and will actually use all my items.

ON HER HOLIDAY STYLE

For me, safari is the more polished sister of the Seventies bohemian trend. This playsuit is perfect for sightseeing and can be dressed up with black accessories. A cocktail ring is a really nice statement piece for evening. Khaki shorts and a waistcoat are an easy way to feel polished and sunglasses always make you look glamorous!

ON HER HOLIDAY READ

A couple of years ago my boyfriend and I went backpacking and we’d swap books with people on our travels. When The Killing’s Done by T C Boyle was a book I received from another traveller and I so did not want to read it but I gave it ago because there was nothing else. It completely blew my mind, it’s beautifully written and it really gripped me!

ON HER HOLIDAY DESTINATION

Menorca. It’s such a peaceful island. I love hiking across Macarella, it’s got such spectacular views and I love shopping for leather sandals in the artisan stores.

ON HER INFLIGHT ESSENTIALS

I always travel with herbals teas, healthy snacks like fruit and nuts, and a pro collagen balm to keep my skin hydrated.

ON HER TOP PACKING TIPS

Keep your shoes at the bottom and roll everything!

ON HER HOLIDAY STYLE

I am currently having a very intense love affair with denim, so I love these culottes. They feel like cropped flares, to be dressed up and down according to your holiday plans. Summer definitely calls for a little colour pop here and there, hence the orange accents. The white look has an air of city chic, but would look great too in the evening running bare foot on a breezy beach.

ON HER HOLIDAY READ

I have a confession: my mum is a very avid reader – she reads one or two books a week. Since I moved to England, she sends me her favourites or the ones she knows I will enjoy. The Accidental by Ali Smith popped through the post last week with a little card saying “For your beach bag. Love you.”

ON HER HOLIDAY DESTINATION

I like to take full advantage of the luxury of having the whole of Europe on my doorstep. This year I will be jetting off to Ibiza to catch some beats, Mykonos to catch some rays and Tisvilde in Denmark to catch some cheekbones!

ON HER INFLIGHT ESSENTIALS

A charger for my phone as I like to listen to my iPod the whole way (currently on repeat: Cashmere Cats, Alt-J and Amy Winehouse) and a very warm knit as I tend to freeze to death up there!

ON HER TOP PACKING TIPS

Take out as many pairs of shoes as you can bear! Chances are you won’t be needing them much anyway. Plus we all like to shop while away, so leave room for your sneaky tourist buys.
