On Saturday we attended Marie Claire’s @Work Live 2015 event, a day of game-changing talks and hands-on workshops for career-focused women held in the beautiful surroundings of BAFTA.
Highlights included an ‘Always On: Is Technology Our Friend Or Foe?’ debate about our addiction to tech. TV presenter Claudia Winkleman, Made.Com co-founder Chloe Macintosh and Decoded’s Kathryn Parsons all wore pieces from the Karen Millen SS15 collection to the event. Claudia chose our jumpsuit, Chloe paired the floral jacquard jacket with a t-shirt from our Stripe atelier and leather leggings while Kathryn wore a lace hem bandage knit dress with nude strappy sandals.
Our Chief Creative Officer Gemma joined Marie Claire’s Fashion Editor Lucia Debieux (in our tribal embroidery dress) and Senior Style Editor Des Lewis to hold a fashion masterclass on how to build a great working wardobe whether you work in a corporate or creative environment. Guests were treated to an exclusive film offering a rare glimpse into our Shoreditch based atelier as well as a sneak peek of our upcoming Autumn Winter 15 collection which offers a fresh and modern take on workwear.
Other high profile speakers included Clare Hopkins, Founder of Balance Me who wore our stretch cotton full skirted dress and Sarah Curran, the Managing Director of Very Exclusive who paired the stripe pique jacket with trousers from our Stripe Atelier whilst sharing her tips on ‘How To Grow Your Business – Fast!’
